Description
The staff will assist users and other technical staff solving network and end user equipment problems. The main tasks will be: - Receive and process Help Desk Calls; - Record request for services in HP Open View or other HD application; - Assist users both remotely or in person on any IT related problem; - Identifies, tracks, isolate and repair network faults; - Prepares (image) PC, laptops and servers for deployment; - Uses hardware and software tools to monitor network utilization, efficiency and Performance. The staff will give Software/Users Support: - Windows 9x/WinNT/Win2000 Desktops/Laptops – Installation, configuration, LAN connection, software installation, trouble-shooting; - Lotus Notes' – Client installation and maintenance, setting up connection of users to the server; - Help Desk support – MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Lotus Notes/Mail; - Design and deployment of standard user desktop environment; - Training and support for new users.
Required Qualifications
The Staff must have at least 5 years working experience on this type of equipment, and have appropriate Technical college certificate. Must be conversant in user hardware and software support especially under Windows environment and Microsoft Office. The staff must have a national drivers licence for a light motor vehicle and be able to drive light motor vehicles including 4X4 off road vehicles with manual transmission. Fluency in English, both written and oral, is required
